The scene came into view with Geki Nitoh front and center as he adjusted whatever device he was using to record this footage. Once satisfied with the positioning, he stepped back, allowing the entirety of his body to be in the shot. He wore a pair of solid black gym shorts and his torso bared, littered with droplets of sweat from the workout he had just finished. Geki had that childlike smile plastered to his face before quickly waving to all watching. A look of seriousness grew across the young man's face as he was seemingly getting ready to do something. Holding his right arm forward, he nodded his head a single time.
’Brave in!’
More energy being shown with his movements, Geki spun around on a heel before doing a short rhythmic dance only to stop, striking a lose. That serious expression didn't hold up at all before Geki nearly erupted into laughter, mostly at himself. Once he collected his composure, that bright smile returned and Geki began to speak.
’Hello everyone who chose to take time out of your busy days to watch this! As most of you might know, my name is Geki Nitoh and I am affectionately referred to as the Toku Titan. Here in California Wrestling, I make up half of the debuting Toku Addiction tag team. The other half of that team..well..’
Running forward, Geki grabbed up his recording device before changing angles, revealing Xavier and Fox entangled with one another in a pretty heavy makeout session in a corner. Returning the device to where it was, Geki brought his hand up, rubbing the back of his head, laughing almost nervously.
’But that's okay! Today, I'm here to speak to you all about our upcoming, debut match against Seth Lawless and Scarlett Highland.’
Geki nodded eagerly, excitement radiating off of him.
’The thing about debut matches that I love the most? It's the first impression. Sure, people who have seen me in the ring before, in places such as Redefine Pro or Spirit and Pride, they know what type of competitor I am. But this match, this match is all about showing the people of California Wrestling what we're all about, first hand.’
‘And I can tell you right now, you would be hard pressed to find two guys who are going to go out there and out more of themselves on the line. Personally, I always try to make it my goal to go out there and give better than my best. Each time, always striving to be better than I was in my last match, to put on an even better show each and every time.’
All the while retaining that smile, Geki brought his arms up, letting them cross at his chest.
’Which leads me to our opponents. I haven't spoken much to them, personally. I prefer doing small videos like this or having a conversation through combat. But my partner's said a lot to them, on Twitter, maybe even enough for the both of us.’
The Toku Titan couldn't stifle the giggle that rolled free just as soon as those words did.
’Like I was saying. Our opponents, Seth Lawless and Scarlett Highland. I've faced Seth once before, in the past. It was in SAP at Fright Night. We were in that Battle Royal, remember? You actually eliminated me in that match, haha.’
Once again, Geki slowly brought his hand up to nervously rub the back of his head.
’That was more than two years ago. You? You've been all over the place since then, getting better and better. But, while maybe not in a ring the whole time, so have I. I had that big injury and ever since then, I've been fighting day after day after day, trying to get back to doing what I love to do. I've never been in a better place health wise, personal wise, ability wise.’
While Geki retained that kindhearted smile, there was a seriousness about his voice and the words he spoke.
’I've worked..so hard to get back here. When it comes time for our match? I'm going to go out there, intent on picking up a win. I'm going to show the fruits of my labor, show that with the right amount of hard work nothing can hold you back, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams.’
Unknown to Geki, while he was on his diatribe, Xavier Laroux had stepped up behind him, watching on. When he finished, Xavier spoke up, stepping forward to stand next to Geki, physically scaring Nitoh in the process. Laroux couldn't help but to laugh out after seeing that, shaking his head slowly.
’Now that my boy here got the inspirational speech outta the way, lemme tell y'all what's really gonna happen.’
The arrogance coming from Laroux was almost visible as that smirk of his dominated his features.
’Few things sweeter than that debut win and that's exactly what we're comin for. That's exactly why they put us against them. They wanna see us just beat the high holy shit outta someone. And in my honest opinion, they couldn't have picked a better team to do it. Seth Lawless and Scarlett Highland, c'mon now, lesbihonest.’
‘Last show, Scarlett took a big ole L against oledude. And that same show, fuckin Seth didn't even have a match. It's like management was like ‘well, we only got room for one of'em and least Scarlett has tits.’
A shrug of the shoulders was given off by X as he continued on.
’That's the thing bout Seth. Who he's with is always more important than him himself. It's always been that way. I mean, look how it was with Becky, Jesus Christ. Seth's an accessory, at best. And that goes for lots of things. Relationships, tag teams, this match. He's fuckin inconsequential. Walkin around, lookin like a goddamn walkin dick. Only problem is, I don't see no balls.’
Geki shook his head, walking out of the scene as Xavier looked around at the floor for a moment before looking back with a shrug.
’Can't find'em. You sure Becky gave'em back after y'all split?’
Shaking his head quickly, Laroux waved his hand around, almost dismissing the question.
’Lemme ask you tho. After Scar hobbled her ass back, after gettin that loss, did you have a nice meal ready for her? Were you a good lil house bitch? I bet you were. And I bet she just rubbed that lil bald ass head and you bowed like a bitch. But y'know, that's enough bout you, weak link. Let's talk bout the one wearin the pants in that relationship.’
‘I mentioned how you lost that match against Desmond. Lemme ask you, Scar, how bad did you feel after that? I mean, that was your chance to shine and you fuckin blew it. The ball was in your hands and you dropped it faster than you're gonna drop Seth in a few months, give or take. See, I know that loss has gotta be weighin heavy on you. And combine that with all the shit I'm talkin? You're gonna have somethin to prove.’
A bit of deviousness began to lace the words Xavier spoke, his smirk taking on a bit of a malicious undertone.
’And I'm gonna use every last bit of that against you. You should know, I'll bend every rule, I'll take every shortcut. If the ref ain't lookin, I'm liable to kick ya in the puss if it means we walk away with the win. And don't come at me with that honor and dignity and winnin the right way bullshit. Ain't nobody got time for that shit.’
‘But y'know what they do got time for? They got time for me blastin you between the eyes with this knee right here..’
Laroux slapped that right knee of his, for emphasis.
’And just like that, everythin goes dark for you and I back up every bit of shit I've talked. And believe me, that's exactly what I intend to do. It's what's gonna happen. Not just tonight, oh no.
