It’s still surreal being able to call myself one of the originals of CWD let alone champion in the company. One of it’s forefathers so to speak alongside Maki & Kross and wouldn’t you know it I’ve been Heritage champion twice and currently republic division champions with Donna Troy. The last show we retained our titles and we’re set to defend them again.
So I waited around and waited to see the card because from what I knew it’d me and Donna vs Toku Addiction or Team A.T.A.R.I
I wasn’t going to take this title defense lightly. Nor was I going take our opponents lightly. I wasn’t lying when I said risk it all to become champion, I’ve done that. I’ll do it again to remain champion and gain another piece of gold. IF they didn’t believe me check out what a war Kendrick and I went through over the Heritage Title
I got to get the gears in my head turning sit here at the beach watching the waves with my kids and Holli playing in the background at our home. I have my camcorder next to me and activate it. The loud beep makes a sound as the [REC] button shows up on the screen as I call to Holli and she runs over grabbing it and let’s me stand up preparing to direct my undivided attention to my opponents
“See that family folks, my reason for fighting. I can’t wait for what’s to come. February 14th valentine day we defend our straps for the second round. Fitting wouldn’t it seem? It’s bound to create explosive times for you all.”
Slight pause as Nox as he was unsure if he was allowed to mention
“Last year was a great year but this year will be even better I guarantee it.”
Another slight pause
“I could talk about other matches but mine is the match of the night”
Slight pause as Nox spots a Ladder next to a big tree in his yard. He chuckles pointing the camcorder in that direction and then turns it to face the ladder then back at him.
“You see, I simply see what lies ahead of me. You see these titles were won in a Ladder Match and since I’ve stepped up to do the Dark’s dark work and well that means making sure Toku Addiction and Atari know who we are”
He chuckles pausing.
“I just wish I could bear the scars of war again. I wish I could bleed again. I enjoy very much risking my life for things I want and I intend to keep. That isn’t just a confidence booster for me. It’s simply telling me that I am improving because I strive to improve each and every time I am in the ring. I know I’ve talked about flying around the ring and the never rings more true than on the love day when I fly around even better than cupid him fucking self.”
He absolutely gets excited about what he can do when he is put in the environment.
“You know Atari, we’ve fought a few times now and I know you’re good at your hippty hoppy bullshit because let’s face it you both are nothing compared to me. I know you’ve been chasing these Championships since they were created and it eats at you. I know you were once at the top of the world. But it came to a halt at one point and you had to climb your way back up. It’s safe to say I was the wrench in your plans. Finding your weakness every time and should you win well I will do that again.”
Slight pause from the Highspot Hero as he glimpses at his half of the republic vision titles just sitting on his shoulder
“I’ve never underestimated an opponent’s no matter who they are. I see you both as a tough combatant Toku, I welcome you to my house”
Nox took a moment to pause.
Collecting his thoughts he began to speak
“You guys are a great tag team, you’ve bested some of the best they’ve thrown at you. We actually might lose to either of you guys. But all that bravado and shade won’t save you from me and donna rotten.”
He grips it tightly with one hand
“At the CW Warehouse I have to give it my all to keep these belts. More than I did when they won it as you all know I love to risk it all.”
Nox starts to feel a little faint. He shakes his head to try and get a grip.
“It’s a lot of pressure being so close to the show and having so much on the line. It’s a familiar kind of pressure none the less. Truly that’s motivation enough to put on the best show I can for you all. Deep down I know that Donna and I can lose the titles that quick but we will win them back even more violent than last time.”
Slight pause as he starts feel a little grin come across his face
“For the record I am not bragging or stroking my ego ahead of time. I know what’s at stake. I know we could lose the championships before its reign truly begins. I can’t let that happen. I’ll use the pressure of this match to fuel me to unknown bounds. I need to beat both teams to make sure we prove a point.”
His head is throbbing as he closes his eyes.
“I’ve never been this nervous to risk something I’ve fought for. Let’s get the games out of the way because I don’t overlook you guys because you have talent and that goes to both teams and quite frankly I look forward to the fight. The fans will get their money’s worth but for now I get to relax before Donna and I get to have fun.”
He chuckles as his eyes start to turn black and the feed fades to black.
Scene 2
Dreamstate
The scene opens up to Nox in the backyard of his home. He is seen looking out his lake as the water drifts along silently as we see someone in a boat paddling towards Nox. Nox wearing attire we haven’t seen in a long time that is upon him. He stands there padded in a ceremonial trench coat and his facepaint. His brother Erik comes worth in the boat with a crooked smile about him wearing a crooked and jointed mask.
Brother Erik: “Noxy it’s been a while. Tell me are you ready for Toku and Atari?”
Nox chuckles
“I am prepared to go through hell and back to retain my Championships for the sake of the high fliers.”
Brother Erik raises his hands out to the sky and looks towards the clouds as he looks back down at Nox
“Come with ME Nox.”
Nox goes into the water and climbs into the boat as mist suddenly appears Erik starts paddling backwards.
We see Nox and Erik going along the water as Erik hums & Nox hums along.
Brother Erik
“Michael you must close your eyes and envision how both you and the painted Gremlin Donna Rotten will retain over Toku or Atari.”
Nox closes his eyes to envision his match against either team. Moments later Nox opens his eyes which are all glassy white as he struggles for air.
“Nox what did you see tell me what did you see…”
Nox looks over at his brother and frowns
“I saw a fate I am not happy with. I must not let it come to pass.”
Erik slaps Nox across the face. Nox looks at him in disgust and Erik slaps him again. Nox stands up and looks at the water. It would seem they about to come to the end of a waterfall. Erik smiles and looks at Nox. Erik’s eyes are wide.
Erik
“You must jump and survive. Survive and fight to live another day. From this traumatic journey should you survive you will have to knowledge of what do to defeat them.”
Nox takes a moment to look down at the bottom of the waterfall as Nox jumps into the water with an evil cackle. Brother Erik puts out his arms and lets out an evil laugh. Moments later Erik looks down and tries to scan the area with his eyes for his brother as Nox isn’t seen.
Suddenly Nox’s arm finds a dry piece of dirty land and comes out of the water gasping for air. His mask gone & his robe are gone. His facepaint of battle on and his eyes are so different this time. His right eye is black as darkness itself. While his left is white as light itself.
“Darkness will always exist and it grows stronger ever more. WE will rise to the occasion. WE will retain. Welcome to Wayward Dreams.”
A blind flash washes over Nox as it slowly fades.
