Immortal Icon Champion Hayley Halsey has her championship with her and she’s not in a celebratory mood. She is highly focused on her upcoming championship defense against Legion as she glares at the camera to express her thoughts.
Hayley: As great of a feeling as it was to become the Immortal Icon champion and finally fill the void left by PHW’s closure, I wasn’t celebrating for long. Just winning this title, I have to put it on the line against Legion and on top of that, some idiot on Twitter asks why I’m the champion and asking “who cares?” What’s the problem? That I’m not spending every second of my life on Twitter? Does that matter? In that ring, I’ve gotten it done when it matters the most and that is why I beat Legion and Desmond Masters. Of course, there’s some announcement that is pending regarding the title that I hold, but that’s for Thursday night. I’ll worry about that WHEN I retain my championship against you Legion. I get why I’m defending this title against you. You weren’t pinned, that much is true. But my victory STILL validated what I said about you. I said that you weren’t a clutch competitor under the bright lights and I proved that right. But what did YOU have to say going into that match? Why don’t you listen to yourself talk? Because I’m about to pick apart what you had to say so I can show you why you lost… and why you’ll lose again.
First off… your lack of passion for this business. You treated this championship as something to “add to the treasure chest”. You treated that match like another day in the office so that ALONE put you behind the eight ball.
Secondly, your lack of focus. You cared FAR more about assimilating Desmond Masters into your nonsense and purifying his soul than you did about the championship, the match or even California Wrestling itself and that’s something that I want to add an extra point of emphasis on. Why? Because every single promo I’ve seen of you… it’s formulaic, it’s repetitive and all you talk about is this gift of salvation or some nonsense about soul saving and I ask… why should we care?
Look around the CW locker room, Legion. Nobody cares. You talk about it in your promos, but you don’t do anything further on television to further what you’re SUPPOSED to be about.
You walk in that ring like it’s just another night for you and that’s why you lose to me, why you lose to Maki, why you couldn’t beat Desmond Masters. You’re far more caught up in being some Scientology wannabe bitch than you are a professional wrestler and sorry Legion, in this business, YOUR type doesn’t fly anymore because every wrestler worth their salt KNOWS that you HAVEN’T backed up what you’ve said in the past and your lack of success in CW PROVES that.
Who were you to try to belittle me as “just another casualty of war” when you’re just another dry, boring excuse of a wannabe wrestler that does nothing but talk and choke in the big matches? WHAT war? I don’t see you causing ANY sort of havoc on ANYTHING during a CW show. I don’t see you tearing up a ring. Hell, what even IS Legion anyway? You’ve hinted that there’s more than just you… but all I have ever seen is you. All you do is show up, talk about some grandiose nonsense that has NOTHING to do with CW PERIOD, wrestle, and fuck off. WHAT war is there? Because you’re doing NOTHING! You have proven NOTHING! We saw druids ONCE… and that was it. You are EXTREMELY one-dimensional for a supposed three-persona “demon” and you sit there and wonder WHY nobody on this roster is taking your threats seriously?
Look in the mirror, you overplayed, glorified trope. I guess the whole “psycho circus” thing makes sense after all because at the end of the day Legion… you’re no demon… you’re a CLOWN!

The reason for that is because I saw through your facade right away. There’s saying something and then there’s backing it up. Maki? She backs it up. Samantha Tolson? She backs it up? YOU? Hell, when you put the entire puzzle together, I’m even beginning to question why you even had the opportunity to qualify for the championship we just had to begin with. Honestly, the only reason why you were in it was a nonsensical fluke draw with Desmond Masters and everyone on the roster knows that!

It’s your lack of initiative that at the end of the day is going to bring about the end of your career here. If you had ANY at all… you’d actually DO something. Do you mind giving me an answer this week? Because honestly, I don’t think this company is EVER going to get one. SHOW me something. Enough with the telling… SHOW something… ANYTHING! Hell, bring the druids with you for all I care. It won’t change the inevitable, but it’ll at least show SOME initiative. Call it arrogance or overconfidence but at the end of the day… I know it’s going to be just another day in the office for you in the worst way possible, not your way where you cleanse a soul or cure someone… but the REAL way where you arrive, wrestle, do nothing, lose and leave.
