Hayley Halsey: Seth Lawless?
Really guys?
Seth Lawless? I hate to be harsh and all but what in the world has he done to deserve a shot at my championship? I get it… my Iconic Championship is a title that is set to be defended every single show and I can respect that. Thus far I have been able to retain my championship once against Legion but if there is one wrestler on the roster that deserves this championship even less than Legion, it’s Seth Lawless.
Really, when was the last time Seth Lawless even cut a promo?
When was the last time Seth Lawless even won a match? Let’s look at his most recent match histories and let’s find out alright?
Two weeks ago… Dana Rotten… LOST
He also had an opportunity to qualify for the first ever championship match that was going to take place the night that I won this championship and he didn’t even show up. Sure, he didn’t lose, but the match was a draw and he lost the one opportunity that he had for this. Someome tell me again why he deserves this opportunity?
I don’t want to hear about Kendrick Kross and how he assaulted him, that’s no excuse at all.
And that six pack challenge he was in… how’d he do with that? Oh wait… he lost after he got his pinfall stolen from him by Olivia Areano.
The last time Seth Lawless won a match here in California Wrestling was against Desmond Masters back on December 21… over THREE MONTHS AGO! So someone please explain to me why someone who hasn’t won a match in three months deserves a shot at my title? Can you think of one? I sure as hell can’t, but despite how I feel about it, I am going to go in there and do what I have to do. I am going to put all the passion and heart that I do to make sure I come away with this championship and make it two for two in championship defenses. This title that I have is the easiest to win and the hardest to retain and I am not going to afford myself ANY sort of off night while I have this around my waist.
You, Seth Lawless, aren’t going to catch me in some shocking upset. You’re going to be like Legion and Desmond Masters and Eleni and Jordan Ayers before you and that’s going to be on the receiving end of a loss to me. You’re going to know exactly what those names that I just mentioned know and that’s that I am one of the brightest young stars in the business that isn’t going to go away anytime soon. I’m not going to just send you to the annals of defeat… hell,I’m going to send you to the unemployment line because I doubt California Wrestling is going to want to keep on someone that hasn’t won a match in over three months.
I’m not going to lose this championship anytime soon despite the odds that are stacked against me from having to defend this show after show after show.
Instead, I am going to make you like I’ve made my previous opponents: SO… RIDICULOUS!
