Britney Anders was sitting on the couch in the home that she shares with Kendrick Kross with a look of concern on her face. Over the last few months, she had been through quite a bit between Eddy Poe, Dona Rotten, the abduction, and of course, Xavier Laroux. But the upcoming tournament for the vacant Pride championship was at the forefront of her thoughts. This is the opportunity she had waited for. Despite her name being one of the most talked about in CW History, the fact remains: Britney Anders has never been a world champion, and she's never held the most prestigious prize in all of California Wrestling; The Pride championship.
Britney stands from her couch and walks over to her mantle where she has a replica of the Hollywood Honors championship, a Hollywood Honors Trophy cup, and a replica of her current championship, the merged Hollywood Heritage championship.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"I've done almost everything."
Her eyes study all of her accolades, as well as the CW awards she picked up at the award ceremony as well, but there was something missing from the mantle. Something important.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"Almost."
She runs her hands over all of her awards and past championship replicas and then touches her chin.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"That Pride championship will be mine at the end of this tournament."
Kendrick comes into the room, breaking Britney's brief moment of recollection and reflection. She turns to face him, greeting him with a smile.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"I know what I have to do, babe..."
The words drip out of her mouth with confidence as her and Kendrick were about to have a heart to heart. Was it about his past championship reign? Her current push for the championship? The world may never know..

We open to an overhead shot outside of the famed CW Warehouse in Hollywood California. The multiple cameras were able to capture different views of the gathering which had to be at least a few hundred people. As the overhead camera zooms lower to the ground, one person sticks out among the crowd and it was none other than Hollywood Heritage champion, Britney Anders.
Cut to a camera on the ground that focused on Anders as she moved through the crowd, the people essentially parted for her with each step she took. She stops in the middle of the gathering and looks at the camera that was following her.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"Even with all of these people, it's no surprise that you were able to pick me out of the bunch. Clearly, I stand out. I don't blend in or play the background. I AM the main focus, the face that you can't miss, simply put, I'm must see. But being must see isn't going to get the job done against Brady Vega at the show in just a few days, so let me tell you what else stands out about me."
People were moving all around the current Hollywood Heritage champion, but she didn't seem to mind and she remains unbothered at the commotion.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"When the A-List was the biggest thing in all of California, ask yourself, who was the centerpiece. It wasn't Rex. It certainly wasn't you, Brady. And as much as I love Kendry, even when he was the Pride champion, it wasn't him. The centerpiece of it all, of the entire movement was the Living Doll, Britney Anders. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. That's because I never needed to be the top champion here to make an impact. I've been making an impact since day one, even back when I was losing matches early in the shows to Chris Compact, Chris Crippler and others. I always remained relevant because I knew how to assert myself into the spotlight.
Look at Brady, he was nothing until the A-List was formed. Alongside Kendry and myself, Brady enjoyed the biggest moment of his career. And he rode that momentum all the way to the Pride championship, which was the peak of his career. When becoming the Pride champion, Brady suddenly gained more followers on social media. Brady became the most hated figure in all of CW, and he was talked about more than ever. He's the embodiment of a championship making the champion bigger, not the other way around. How does it feel, Brady? Knowing that when you get knocked out in round one, everything you've worked the last few months for? It's gone. You go from being the talk of the town, to an afterthought, just as you were before you aligned yourself with me."
Britney begins moving through the crowd again. Most of the people stop and admire the beautiful woman as she moves by them, almost as if she's stopping time as she continues moving.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"The only similarity we share is that we both lost a bunch of matches early in our careers, but that's it. While I started winning, I never reached the peak, and I've still been the biggest name. You only became ONE of the biggest names when you reached the pinnacle. Now, here we are. You want that clout back, and the quickest way to reach it is to knock the biggest star this company has ever seen out of the tournament. It's crazy. Even Sam Tolson is picking you to beat me. But hey, weren't around seventy percent of people on social media picking the winner of Hollywood Honors cup to defeat me for my title? You know what they say about assumptions..."
With a snicker, she continues.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"Let's talk some more facts, Brady. You were stripped of that Pride championship for a reason. And you were placed against me in the first round for the very same reason. CW doesn't want you as champion. Why would they? You've been nothing but a walking embarrassment from the moment you miraculously won that championship. What CW wants is a champion that they can throw on posters. They want a champion that they can shop for business deals with. California Wrestling wants a champion with more than a tenth grade education. California Wrestling NEEDS me as their champion.
It's my time. Despite being the biggest name in the company, the reality is, you have been the Pride champion and I haven't. That all changes and it starts in just a few days."
Britney pauses as she walks out of the massive gathering and stops in front of a large gate.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"Pride. By definition it means to be proud of one's own accomplishments. If pride is measured by success and failure, you've only just gotten a sip of success, and you've been dining on failure for the majority of your career. Don't think that a single Pride run has made you better than all of us, especially me. I haven't had the opportunities that I've earned and that I truly deserve. If you're the gatekeeper then I guess I need to pick that lock and march to the promised land."
Britney walks up to the rusty, oversized gate and kicks it open as a huge smile crosses her face.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
"Gatekeepers get left at the opening of the door. Left to welcome everyone that comes after them. Eventually, the gatekeeper gets surpassed as everyone figures out a way to sneak on by. Enjoy being left in my dust and at the doors of that gate, because I'm marching up to my throne and I'm coming for the only singles championship here that I haven't held that matters to me. Britney Anders will finally sit atop of CW, and it starts with you Brady. See you in a few days, gremlin!
Anders marches into the 'promised land', leaving the gate wide open for the gathering of people to follow her through.
