BRITNEY ANDERS:
Ladies and gentleman, today we are gathered to celebrate the life of Melissa Aki. Though I'm sure everyone knows her better as Maki.
Anders is dressed in all black as she stands in front of a closed casket at a makeshift funeral set up. There are nameless faces around, also dressed in black, to give a proper send off to the former CW Pride Champion.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Now Maki is, sorry, was, a lot of things to a lot of people. To some she was a hero. A woman who fought valiantly when the decks were not in her favor. To others, she was an inspiration. And then to me? She was a b word. A major b word.
There are a few gasps from those in attendance. Britney smirks, her eyes with a sinister gleeful look to them.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Maki has threatened me with DANIELLA time and time again, and frankly, I was tired of having to look over my shoulder. So I did what any strong woman in my position would do. I took matters into my own hands. If you all remember, at Walk of Fame, Maki defended what was HER Pride championship at the time against my ex boyfriend, Kendry a.k.a. Kendrick Kross in a casket match. Now, I could have sat idly by on the sidelines, portraying a damsel in distress because I've been scared repeatedly by Maki, or, I could have done exactly what I did.
Britney looks out to the mourners in attendance and places a gloved hand over her chest.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
I faced my fears, I climbed inside of the casket as it was being wheeled down to ringside and I made the biggest impact of the night when I singled handedly rose from that casket when Maki opened it. I courageously sat up and sprayed her in the face with a hairspray flame and then I was the one that shut the lid, locking the demoness in this casket forever!
Anders' voice raises as the mourners look around at each other, wondering why 'The Living Doll' was celebrating the 'loss' of someone. Britney continues, proving why she is one of the most must see talents in the wrestling world.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Nobody has heard from Melissa since that match, and today, I will give the world the money shot. The first look inside the casket of the former PRIDE champion. Are you ready?
Britney walks to the lid of the casket. She places her gloved hand on it and moves it around in a circular motion, building the anticipation and tension as she looks out at the mourners that are now gathered near the casket. Finally, Britney opens the lid as the 'mourners' all smirk as Britney gets a grin across her face. The CW camera crew on hand to film this zoom in and get a close up of what is CLEARLY a man, dressed as Maki. The man's face is painted white as if under the possession of Daniella. There are made-up burns on the fake Maki's face, imagined by Britney herself as well as a trail of fake blood from her lip towards her chin. Britney pulls a chair up dramatically and stands on it carefully as she looks down into the casket.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Wow, Maki looks better than ever. Can you believe it? Look at how beautiful she is!
Britney chuckles as she looks down at the bloated man who is dressed as her opponent for the upcoming episode of Walk of Fame.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
If you're wondering why I'm standing on this chair, looking down at her, it's because I've ALWAYS been better than Maki! She might have been the Pride champion, but how many opportunities have I gotten at that title? I'll wait.
Britney pauses for dramatic emphasis. Her lips twist up at the would be Maki.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Exactly, I've had like, no opportunities at the 'big one' around here. But guess what? That will change after the next Walk of Fame and do you know why? Because I'm going to remove you from this casket, and carry you to the match of the night! I've been working with James Ceno and this is NOT the same Doll you've seen in the past. I'm a Doll that has transformed herself. Think of Barbie, but with a major upgrade.
Britney scrunches her nose, proud of herself.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
Anyway, we might not be the main event, but we should be, because all eyes will be on us. You can thank me for that too. Where's my pat on the back?
One of the 'mourners' walks up behind the chair and pats Britney on her lower back much to her approval.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
I know Kendry has a different opinion of what happened the last time we were in the same place at he same time, Maki, but the fact is, you were going to throw him in that casket but I ruined your plans. I caught you with the element of surprise, something that Ceno taught me. I then blinded you, giving you no chance of properly defending yourself from that moment moving forward. Finally, I was the one who slammed the lid shut, ending your run as the Pride champion. Your entire downfall was at MY HANDS, I'm basically the uncrowned champion of this company. So my question to you is, how do you get revenge for that? Let's say you beat me. Okay? It doesn't give you that championship back. You're walking into our match, wanting to hurt me. Wanting revenge, and all you're going to leave with is another loss. Too bad, how sad?
Anders turns to her mourners and demands that they repeat after her. The collective then scream out 'too bad, how sad?'. Britney gives them a mocking clap for their efforts.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
While you spent the last show suffering the biggest defeat of your CW career, I made a statement. That statement was to EVERY champion in this company. I put everyone on notice. Which championship will I ultimately challenge for? I won't spoil, but what I will do is spoil your little triumphant return, Maki. Yes, I've feared you in the past. Yes, I think you're a psychopath and you should probably be banned from wrestling in California. And yes, I know you were a champion for a reason, but guess what? The Doll is BACk in California, and things are changing. For the better. This company is going to get prettier, it's going to get more popular, and you Maki? You're going to end up deader.
Britney looks back at the mourners and asks if it's a word. Some of them shrug as Britney points a finger at them and rolls her eyes.
BRITNEY ANDERS:
I cordially invite every fan of professional wrestling to tune in to the next episode of Walk of Fame. Watch me walk to the ring, and face my fears. And watch me close the casket on Maki's career for a final time.
Britney is helped from the chair as she walks to the face of the casket. She puts her hand on the lid and aggressively slams it shut as the scene fades to black.
