It’s not just been a string of bad luck, it’s been a rope. Kendrick hadn’t won here in California Wrestling since February which had made him wonder, would he ever win again? He’s won again everywhere else but something about California Wrestling he just couldn’t. He used to be able to win all the time, hell he was undefeated for the longest time. He was the best there was in California Wrestling. He lost to Tolson though and that changed, he couldn’t let that affect him any longer and that started with Kendrick beating Nitoh this week. The man that is supposed to be the weak link of the new alliance, Republic of California. Kendrick scoffed at the notion that they would take over, no way. After all where would Vega be without Kendrick and Britney? Still at the bottom of the barrel to scrape wins. That’s where. But this wasn’t about him, this was about Nitoh and beating him.
Kendrick was sitting in his trophy room with no lights on. Kendrick wasn’t in the best of moods at the moment and it showed in his look. “Me losing? It has to stop. I can’t keep on doing this. I’ve won everywhere lately except here. Hell in both EWC and LPW he had chances for titles yet here he hasn’t had a title shot in forever. Kendrick looked behind him at the multiple championships that lined the case, the CW Pride Championship in the center.
“I used to be at the top here in California Wrestling, hell I was feared by some. Maki couldn’t touch me, Nox may have beaten me once but he still knows now that him beating me was a fluke, besides I went on to better things and where has he been? Stuck. I am one of the best here and I can’t keep being held back.” Kendrick slammed his hands on the wooden desk that was in front of him, almost breaking his hand. He was frustrated beyond all means. He wasn’t sure what he needed to do but it had to be different.
“Here I sit looking at the success of others yet I can’t seem to find my own anymore. Tides seemed to have turned here in California Wrestling but that isn’t lasting for long. Brady Vega and his goons are thinking they own the place, they actually believe that they can take this place over from Britney and I. That’s funny. We are the CW. The first step to showing these goons that they are sorely mistaken is taking out Nitoh.” A smile crossed his face as Kendrick let out a small laugh. He was confident in his abilities that was always true. He knew what he could do it was all about accomplishing it though and he wasn’t about to just let this opportunity go. He was going to make his way back up the ladder prove to everyone why he is the true King of California Wrestling and always will be.
“Geki actually believes he has a chance to beat me. He thinks that he is going to be the same without Xavier by his side, without a tag partner. I am relishing this opportunity to go up against this man. This match isn’t just about winning, it’s way more than that. Xavier thinks that he is better than me, hell all of the roster thinks they’re better than me but Nitoh you know deep down you are nowhere near the talent I am.” Kendrick turned around and opened the case. He pulled out the Pride Championship along with the original Heritage Championship. Both of which he sat in front of him.
“How many of you actually can say that they have accomplished what I have? I was a champion of one sort or another for 238 days straight. You can’t claim that Geki, neither can your brethren. So to sit there and tell me that you’re better than me? It makes me sick.” Kendrick looks at both titles and remembers the title reigns. Remembering what it felt like to hold a title and that feeling he wanted back to much.
“I’m not going to sit back here and just act like you are going to just beat me outright Nitoh. To even have a chance of taking me out you’re going to need your buddy X out there but you know I have a counter for that. So the question you need to ask yourself is do you really want to go there.” Kendrick felt like he knew the answer to that and it was a simple one but honestly he wasn’t going to fret over it. He had bigger problems to deal with and they soon would be ending.
“The days of Kendrick Kross losing and being titleless are coming to an end. Don’t worry here soon I will be going back on my streak I can guaran-fucking-tee you that. After winning this match and going on my streak, which will include me winning the Immortal Icon Championship, I Show the world why Kendrick Kross should have never been doubted to begin with.” Rampant thoughts ran through Kendricks head about matches and his future. What he needed to do to get back on track, though he felt he had a good idea. “Nitoh you know what you seem to be to me? A leech. Someone who just hangs on but no real talent. See without Xavier you’d be nothing. There’s a reason you haven’t gone out on your own and tried to go for a singles title. Xavier bitched about not being in that Pride tournament yet now a word from you? That tells me something right there.”
The smile on Kendrick got wider just thinking about his future win. He was confident that he was taking this over Nitoh, there was no doubt in his mind. He couldn’t have doubt though, he needed confidence if he didn’t have that confidence he wouldn’t even have a chance to succeed. “We’ll see come Saturday what exactly you can do in singles match. I would even challenge you to just bring yourself out there. Don’t even worry about Xavier. You two are so good you shouldn’t need him out there or are you that weak that you need him? If you truly need him out there he must have you by the balls. Making you seem that you have no talent, that you can’t do a damn thing. That’s not a way to live Nitoh, I’d get out of that relationship...unless you can’t?” A wink by Kendrick and a smile is followed by a quick chuckle.
“Nitoh I want you to understand this. ROC isn’t going to last, it can’t last. There are too many egos in that to actually co-exist. You are bound to self destruct and when you do Britney and I will still remain. We’ll still show why we’re the one constant here and will remain. So Nitoh, I’ll see you out in that ring and make sure I take out so you don’t have to suffer through that inevitable destruction. It’s only right.”
One last laugh by Kendrick before the camera fades out.
“Remember these words, Nitoh. Remember my accomplishments. Understand that when it comes to this match you have absolutely zero chance. We all will be witness the rise of Kendrick Kross”
