The sun was only beginning to rise when Ethan Roerich was found by Kelsi Minx in his office with a piping hot cup of coffee resting next to him while he reads over a budget list.

K. MINX: "Top of the morning Mr. Roerich. Was wondering if you had anything for me this morning?"

Ethan Roerich looks up from the page and gives Kelsi his undivided attention.

E. ROERICH: "Morning Kelsi. I actually do have something for you today. Could you run out to Malibu and pick up the children?"

K. MINX: "The children? What children?"

E. ROERICH: "You can't have a birth without children Minx. We've got two newly created Pride Championship and Hollywood Heritage Championship belts waiting for us at the factory. They will be ready by 8:30. With traffic and everything I think you can make it there and back in a timely fashion. Here is some gas and grab yourself something to eat if you'd like."

Ethan passes Kelsi a hundred dollar bill.

K. MINX: "Awesome. New belts sounds like a good idea."

E. ROERICH: "Expect lots of new things. How are the leads on a network?"

K. MINX: "Still searching. I'm waiting to hear back from a few places. Maybe they will get back to me while I am on the road.

E. ROERICH: "I'm sure they will. Question."

Kelsi becomes more intrigued.

K. MINX: "I'm all ears."

E. ROERICH: "Morgan Payne... Eddy Poe.... Anaquin Adams... which of these three would you say have the best work ethic?"

Kelsi ponders in silence for a moment.

K. MINX: "From my observation and experience working with them I think all three are solid. Why?"

E. ROERICH: "Reaching out to all three wouldn't be a bad idea? That was my first idea, thanks for reassuring me Kelsi. I'm going to get on the phone calls and contact managers and agents. Call me once you pick up the championships and I'll be able to get your lunch order in."

K. MINX: "Oh, thanks Mr. Roerich."

E. ROERICH: "Don't mention it."

Ethan puts a phone to his ear just as Kelsi Minx exits the office. Kelsi continues down the hallway toward elevator. After stepping off the elevator, Handsome Kenny is seen standing at the front desk giving Jack Martin as many problems as possible. Minx enters the parking lot and cameras fade to black.

We fade in to the Warehouse Parking Garage located in the rear lot of the building. Kelsi Minx pops out of a sports car with two velvet bags with the infamous CW bear claw logo printed on the front. Kelsi checks both ways before crossing the street and stepping onto the concrete. Upon entering the warehouse, Kelsi is greeted by the ol' goofball in the suit and tie, Jack Martin.

K. MINX: "Hey Jack!"

J. MARTIN: "What's happening?!"

Kelsi drops the bags at the font desk.

K. MINX: "Would you mind carrying one of these for me?"

J. MARTIN: "As much as I would love to help you Kelsi, there MUST be someone to answer these phone calls at all times."

Kelsi rolls her eyes.

K. MINX: "You MIGHT be deserving of that super wedgie they were joking about on twitter. Can you page someone from security for me?"

J. MARTIN: "One moment."

Jack presses a button nearby and moments later two large men in all black arrive at the front desk.

K. MINX: "Wonderful. Could you two strong gentlemen carry these bags to Mr. Roerich's office?"

The Security Guards lift the bags from the front desk and follow Kelsi Minx to the elevator. The elevator doors shut just as a civilian approaches the front desk with questions.

The velvet bags drop onto Mr. Roerich's desk, knocking over a phone and a mug with pens in the process. Mr. Roerich rolls his eyes as the Security Guards hurry out of the room. Kelsi sits in the comfy chair placed in front of Mr. Roerich's desk. Sunlight beams through the window that faces toward the Hollywood Sign, positioned just west of the Griffith Observatory.

E. ROERICH: "Well done Kelsi. Thank you for you dedication."

K. MINX: "Don't mention it."

E. ROERICH: "Did you take a look at the belts?"

K. MINX: "I did."

E. ROERICH: "What do you think?"

K. MINX: "Amazing. Unique."

E. ROERICH: "Good. That's what we were going for."

K. MINX: "How are things looking for us so far?"

E. ROERICH: "Do you want an honest answer?"

Kelsi's expression of seriousness never faults.

E. ROERICH: "Well, everyone likes the idea of CW returning as long as I am not involved. I've gotten positive and negative feedback from all over. Majority are trying to tell anyone who considers joining to run as far away as they can as fast as possible and for some reason I've got my assistant trying to write up a contract for Britney Anders to return. A lot of questions that I have no answers or response to. We tanked before, egos were running wild, you were there you saw it with your own two eyes. Talent not wanting to work with specific talent. Oh, here's my favorite one, we sign someone, they work one of two shows, then collect a paycheck and bash their "experience" or some other petty bullshit."

Kelsi sits quietly and listens.

E. ROERICH: "But this time? It'll be different. You know better than anyone else Kelsi, it's a revolving door policy around here. The money will be made, the shows will be booked, and we've been through worse in the past. We made it to a solid bit of shows and now we have repackaged ourselves for the better. Now, where did you want lunch today? I've arranged a car to take you to whatever restaurant you would like in the city. Enjoy a two hour lunch on CW."

Kelsi smiles, surprised by the generosity of Ethan Roerich. Ethan places an envelope onto the desk.

E. ROERICH: "I've got a board meeting to run, enjoy your lunch break, it's going to be a busy day."

Ethan Roerich holds the door for Kelsi and she hurries out of the office with the envelope in hand.

The Warehouse is emptied out and the new seating deck is being constructed. Mr. Roerich paces around the squared circle. A ring crew wait patiently as he removes the measuring tape from the tool bag nearby and checks the distance between the ring apron and the guard rails.

E. ROERICH: "I don't think we will have a problem, but I feel we may need to give the talent a little more space."

A sloppy overweight ringcrew worker with a name label that reads; JIM, speaks up bravely.

JIM: "We would have to eliminate a portion of the front row sir."

E. ROERICH: "We'll move those seats to that upper deck. We've got to keep the talent safe. I feel we're going to have a very tight roster with little room for error. We will figure out seating, but give me about a foot and a half more all around."

JIM: "Should we account for the announce tables?"

E. ROERICH: "No. They will broadcast from the center of the crowd. Do you see that platform?"

Roerich points to a large rectangular platform built four feet high on trusts in the middle of the floor seats. Folding chairs surround the platform and an announcers table is constructed with the Tuesday Night Takeover logo printed on the front.

E. ROERICH: "The fans will be as close to the action as possible. Expect monster highlights!"

Jack Martin arrives amongst the crowd of ring crew workers.

J. MARTIN: "Mr. Roerich! Mr. Roerich!"

Ethan points to Jack Martin, the odd man out in a suit and tie amongst the t-shirt wearing ring crew workers.

E. ROERICH: "What's happening Jack?"

J. MARTIN: "You've gotten a phone call from Anaquin Adams' reps."

Intrigue sets. Ethan walk away with Jack Martin while the ring crew workers get back to work.

Mr. Roerich's Office - 8/30/2019

CLICK! Mr. Roerich let's the phone fall onto the receiver before undoing his tie and leaning back in his chair. Foot resting on his desk, he grabs the remote control and mashes the triangle button. Light melodic music begins to play and Roerich attempts to relax. How had the phone call gone with Anaquin Adams' reps? What was in store for the future of California Wrestling? Not even Ethan Roerich knows for sure, and even if he were about to sweat, no one would ever know.

The door swings open and Jack Martin storms into the office and shuts the door behind him.

J. MARTIN: "Mr. Roerich, how was your phone call? Will we be signing Anaquin Adams?"

E. ROERICH: "Nothing is final Jack. I'd rather not speak on it. If she likes the deal she likes the deal. If not, we will continue our efforts elsewhere."

J. MARTIN: "Mmkay. While you were on the phone Erik Ironside's agent called, he would like to speak with you or at least hear what you have to offer. Audrey ... ummm.. what's her name. Audrey Blythe and he rep gave a big fuck no. And some others said no. What do you think the issue is?"

Ethan hits a button on the remote and the volume of the music drops tremendously.

E. ROERICH: "Honestly, it's the word of mouth bug and the fact that I totally cut everyone's contracts out of the blue. I was losing money. The company was losing money. People were overpaid and making demands that no one would stand for. I went my route, everyone went theirs, and here we are today. Buried deep as magma but from the ashes we shall rise. We can always prove ourselves. CW has made it through some silly situations and we've answered to some silly demands as well. But not this time around. The accusations, the whispers, the hate, it's all uncalled for and quite frankly, it's just fuel to add to the fire. The Hollywood Haters Ball is going to be epic! What other promotion allowed Eddy Poe to run rampant? Maki summoned demonic midgets, and let's not forget that time the Dogs of War took of New York."

Jack Martin stands still in silence with a smile.

E. ROERICH: "CW was getting a bad rep for the longest amount of time even before I pulled the plug on the whole thing. If a plan is not working, do away with it and try another route. CW tanked last time because of the foundation. This will be a new CW with a new foundation. A new core. A new way of doing things. In the days of old, talent would leave if certain people joined or won or they would try to extort their way into a championship, but not anymore. California Wrestling will withstand the test.

Cameras fade to black as Ethan Roerich continues his speech to Jack Martin.

The following is video footage from a house show match held in front of 1,000 people during a campaign aimed at raising money for CW.

L.A. RIOT MATCH
SUDDEN DEATH TRIPLE THREAT
Handsome Kenny -vs- Whisper -vs- Mike Lipschitz

DING! DING! DING!...

The match begins with Mike Lipschitz jumping out of the ring immediately and grabbing a small red igloo cooler from beneath the ring and sliding back into the ring. Whisper and Handsome Kenny watch with patience as Mike opens the igloo and removes a big bottle of champagne. He takes a big gulp to the head before approaching Whisper and Handsome Kenny with an offering.

K. MINX: "What do we have here?"

S. AIMES: "This is the peace offering, I think."

Handsome Kenny accepts the offer and instead of drinking the champagne he pours it onto his chest and abdomen while gyrating his hips. Handsome Kenny dips his blow pop sucker in the liquid resting on his abs before placing the sucker in his mouth.

S. AIMES: "That's not what Lipchitz had in mind."

K. MINX: "Whisper is completely disgusted."

Handsome Kenny offers the champagne to Whisper and she takes the bottle without hesitation and smashes the bottle against Lipschitz skull causing the bottle to shatter in pieces.

S. AIMES: "OUCH!"

K. MINX: "This is what we want! The violence!"

Whisper kicks Handsome Kenny in the midsection before walking him over to the corner and slamming him first face into the turnbuckle pad. Kenny turns around and falls deep into the corner pocket as Whisper lands kicks to the midsection. With Handsome Kenny trapped, Whisper delivers a big knee strike before locking Kenny in a side headlock and landing a running bulldog! The impact is gruesome looking and the fans gasp. Whisper rises to her feet and spoils Lipschitz springboard crossbody by catching him in mid-air.

K. MINX: "Whisper is about to murder Mikey Lipschitz! Poor Mikey!"

Whisper falls backward and launches Lipschitz against the turnbuckle pads via a fall away slam! Whisper hops to her feet with the crowd behind her and the crowd is silenced quickly after Handsome Kenny connects with a stiff spinning european uppercut that sends Whisper tumbling backwards and out of the ring.

S. AIMES: "Whisper may have screamed."

K. MINX: "If she did, she resembled a dog whistle."

Handsome Kenny gyrates his hips to get a reaction out of the crowd before approaching Mike Lipschitz. Lipchitz grabs hold of Kenny and executes a sit out jawbreaker to create a little distance and free up time for him to leap onto the middle turnbuckle rope. Handsome Kenny stumbles into Lipschitz path and Lipschitz attempts a blockbuster only to have HK duck out of the way. At the last second Lipschitz transitions his offensive move into a sunset flip. Pamela Baxter flies down to the canvas and makes the count,

Whisper flies in and connects with a steel chair to the face of Lipschitz. Handsome Kenny rises to his feet and pleads with Whisper a she approaches with the steel chair in her grasps.

K. MINX: "Oh no, not the face! Kenny begging."

S. AIMES: "Begging won't be able to help him tonight."

Whisper swings the chair and Handsome Kenny baseball slides between her legs and trips her up, causing Whisper to fall face first to the canvas, and landing against the chair. Handsome Kenny gyrates his hips again, celebrating his wits and fast thinking. HK pulls Mike Lipschitz to his feet and drills him into the canvas with a brainbuster! Handsome Kenny jumps to his feet and is greeted with a belly to belly suplex from Whisper! Whisper jumps to her feet and launches Mike Lipschitz into the corner, he smacks the turnbuckle with his torso and stumbles back into Whisper's clutches. Whisper takes advantage and slams Lipschitz with a german suplex! The crowd goes wild for Whisper as she focuses on Handsome Kenny. "SMACK!" The knife edge chops echo.

K. MINX: "Whisper will tear the flesh from the bone if you allow her."

S. AIMES: "Whisper is a veteran and a locker room leader. Her respect will be given to her tonight, that's for sure."

"SMACK!" Whisper lands another chop to the chest before sending Handsome Kenny into the ring cables. Kenny returns and ducks under the clothesline. His pace picks up after slingshotting himself out of the ring ropes and ducking under Whisper's back elbow attempt. Her momentum forces her to over shoot her target, causing her to spin into HK's grasps and he slams her via an exploder suplex! Handsome Kenny attempts an arrogant cover with his foot placed over Whisper's chest but before a count can be made Lipschitz soars from the top rope with a trash can held against his chest. He crashes into Handsome Kenny via a weapon-aided crossbody! Both competitors hit the canvas hard and the fans roar with excitement. Whisper grabs Lipschitz and uses a textbook spine-buster to slam him against the chair.

S. AIMES: "Lipschitz is done!"

K. MINX: "It's a car wreck out here."

S. AIMES: "I think Whisper has--

"We not your kind" by Slipknot hits the airwaves as the lights begin flicking. Whisper stands on her guard with Lipschitz rolling around on the canvas in agony. Handsome Kenny can't believe his eyes as, moments later, the entrance fills up with smoke as Dameon Khaos makes his way out from backstage through the smoke. As he appears, the camera focuses on his face before fading away. As Dameon slowly walks down the aisle, the crowd chants..

K. MINX: "Who is this Eddy Poe's cousin?!"

S. AIMES: "Worse... it's Dameon Khaos!"

'This is Creepy' as he continues making his way to ringside. As he reaches the ring, Dameon crawls into the ring with the spotlight focus solely on him. The music then fades as he slowly rises too his feet staring directly into the camera.

K. MINX: "This is rather creepy."

The lights come back on and Whisper is first to attack. Dameon Khaos catches Whisper mid-stride, tilts her upside down and plants her with a "COLD ENDING" tombstone piledriver!

DING! DING! DING!...

Pamela Baxter calls for the bell.

S. AIMES: "What is his purpose for being out here tonight?!"

Dameon Khaos grabs hold of Mike Lipschitz and tilts him upside down as well. With Mike on his shoulder, dangling like a handbag, Khaos stares down Handsome Kenny for a moment before delivering a Cold Ending tombstone piledriver to Mike Lipschitz! The fans watch in fear and silence as Dameon Khaos darts his attention to Handsome Kenny immediately. Handsome Kenny springs up the aisle and toward the back. The arena lights flicker off, leaving the Warehouse in darkness for a moment before the lights turn back on, and Whisper and Lipschitz are both in the ring spread eagle looking up at the ceiling lights.

FADE TO BLACK.

CW’s production crew take us to Mr. Roerich’s office. Everything is neat and tucked away and he is just finishing his lunch when the sound of Jack Martin’s voice comes booming out of the intercom.

J. MARTIN: “Mr. Roerich! Mr. Roerich! Do you have a meeting with a Kayla Craft this afternoon?

E. ROERICH: “No I don’t re-call any--”

Kayla’s voice is heard and Jack Martin appears to be choking.

K. CRAFT: “I don’t need a meeting! I’ve told you what I want, you know why I’m here!”

E. ROERICH: “Let her up.”

K. CRAFT: “Good boy.”

A gasp is heard from Jack who then coughs as Kayla is buzzed up and into the office of notorious businessman, Ethan Roerich. She opens the door and looks at the man who stands up from his desk.

K. CRAFT: “So this is the one and only Ethan Roerich? The man who can give me anything I want as long as it’s California Wrestling related?”

She walks a bit closer to his desk and rests her right hand on it.

E. ROERICH: “That would be me.”

Roerich smirks.

K. CRAFT: “Well you already know what I want, so how soon can you make it happen?”

R. ROERICH: “You WANT, to step in the ring with Dameon?”

K. CRAFT: “I saw him tear through those men on your website footage. I know what he’s capable of, but I also know how much it would mean for someone to stop him dead in his tracks. And Ethan?”

She lifts her leg up and rests a black boot on his desk.

K. CRAFT: “These boots are made for ass kicking.”

E. ROERICH: “Ms. Craft, I’m aware of your confidence and trainers spoke well of you during ICWA’s lifespan, but Dameon Khaos is not a light load. Handsome Kenny has arrived to meet with medical staff everyday. Whisper still has therapy sessions and Mike Lipschitz… well, I think I saw drinking a 40 ounce of malt liquor on my way into work today. How about we start you off against Handsome Kenny once he’s cleared medically?”

Kayla pulls her boot off the desk.

K. CRAFT: “Nah dude. I will sign a contract RIGHT NOW if you can guarantee me a match against Dameon Khaos. And I’m already here in Cali, why don’t we do it tonight? A grand opening for California Wrestling? The chance to usher in a new era, an era in which the bullies never win? Seriously. Show me a contract. I’ll sign it. I’ll sign medical waivers. Whatever.”

Ethan Roerich scratches his eye brow.

E. ROERICH: “Ok, we can’t book you tonight, as tonight there is nothing planned before hand, but in about three or four days we will hold another fundraising event. I can book Dameon Khaos versus Kayla Craft for a future date, IF you will take a single’s against Whisper at the fundraising event.”

Ethan Roerich reaches for the intercom button.

E. ROERICH: “Martin rush up here with a contract template and your laptop. We’ve got some negotiating to do up here.”

Ethan Roerich puts his focus back on Kayla who doesn’t look very happy.

E. ROERICH: “I know you want Dameon Khaos right away, but that’s a fight that can make money and draw big numbers. I’m thinking a debut against Whisper let’s Khaos know what he’s up against. What do ya say?”

K. CRAFT: “So now you’re saying Khaos needs to know what he’s against? What happened to him being this big, bad, monster that ran through everyone in his path?”

Shaking her head, she spins on the heels of her boots and does a complete three sixty.

K. CRAFT: “I don’t need a warm up and neither does he. You want big money? You’ve got it in us. If you NEED me for the fundraising event then that’s fine, whatever dude. I like raising money for a good cause, but I want KHAOS. ASAP.”

E. ROERICH: “You will get Khaos when the time is right. He wasn’t even booked for that event. That was a one match showcase, hints the gimmick stipulation. He came out of nowhere and made sure no one had a way of competing. He’s a monster, yes. I was not aware he planned on tearing through the roster. Of course, we do not know if that is exactly his plan.”

K. CRAFT: “If that is his plan, he better have a damn good backup. Where’s your contract guy? I’m ready.”

E. ROERICH: “He’s on his way up. Have a seat at the conference table.”

Roerich gestures to the furthest corner of the large rectangle shaped office. On the far end of the room under flourescent lights is a conference table fit for eight people, four seats on either side of a rectangular shaped table.

E. ROERICH: “I predict Jack arriving soon he’s usually got the same timing for certain tasks. ..3 ...2 ….1.”

KNOCK. KNOCK. A swift hammering of a fist is brief before Jack Martin enters the office with paperwork in his hand and two lawyers.

E. ROERICH: “Have a seat. Join us. Jack grab three cups of coffee will ya?”

Jack Martin leaves the paperwork on the conference table before darting out of the room. Kayla looks over at the lawyers who shuffle the paperwork in their hands.

K. CRAFT: “There better be writing in there about a match with Khaos.”

Ethan still seems surprised that someone as tiny as Kayla is demanding a match with perhaps the strongest monster to ever step foot in a CW ring.
