Chamber of Questions

In a debut that impressed many, Gemma Woods came within a hair of defeating Equinox in the quarterfinals of the Hollywood Honors Cup, but in the end, it wasn't to be. But that was last match, at the last show, and now it was on to the future and preparing for the ELIMINATION CHAMBER match at Horror in the Hills.

Today, Gemma was back at the Woods Wrestling Academy in California. She was standing in the middle of the ring with the California Wrestling camera crew on hand. The ring was set up with five make-shift chambers, modeled after the ones we will see at Horror in the Hills on November 7th.

GEMMA WOODS:

"So as everyone saw, I fought as hard as I could against Equinox at Walk of Fame 3, and I came up short. It was devastating, heartbreaking, and disappointing, but the fact is, I was out wrestled by the better wrestler on that night and I still give all of the credit in the world to him. He's amazingly talented and I'm actually really happy that I get to share the ring with him again in just over a week. Which brings me to today and why I have these chambers in the ring."

Gemma walks to each chamber one at a time and runs a hand over the glass before smiling and waving at each unknown person in their respective chambers. 'The Princess of the Woods Dynasty' walks back to the middle of the ring.

GEMMA WOODS:

"Last show, what carried me as far as I want were the fans. I owe everyone who supported and continues to support me a huge thank you, so I thought that a unique way to do so, would be to give a few fans the opportunity to step into one of these chambers and as each chamber opens, the fan inside can step out and ask me ANYTHING they want!"

Woods flashes her infectious smile and nods towards each fan who look just as excited as the rookie wrestler.

GEMMA WOODS:

"So why don't we get this started? Dad, open chamber one!"

Gemma's father, off camera of course, hits the button to open the first chamber. The fan inside steps out. It's a young man in his early 20's who is wearing a MAKI t-shirt. He looks nervous, but more than excited to be in the ring with Gemma.

GEMMA WOODS:

"Why don't you tell everyone your name and then you can ask your question?"

The young man seems nervous which prompts Gemma to walk over and give him a big hug before rubbing his back, coaxing him that it's okay to speak.

FAN ONE:

"My name is Johnny Chow and I would like to know which of your five opponents worry you the most?"

Gemma gives Johnny a high five before she steps back to the middle of the ring.

GEMMA WOODS:

"That's honestly an awesome question, and the truth is, all of them. Equinox already beat me, Eddy Poe is coming in with a lot of hype. Anatoly is dangerous, Max is a physical freak and Sam Tolson? She's a proven success everywhere she's been. I wouldn't say any one of them worry me more than the other, I would say they all present a challenge. But with every challenge comes a gameplan so that's really what I'm focusing on now is formulating a strategy that gives me the best chance to walk out with my hand raised. But seriously Johnny, awesome question!"

The second chamber opens and the second fan steps out. This fan is a young woman who appears to be in her early thirties. She has glasses and curly red hair. She has more confidence than the first fan as she smiles at Gemma who waves at her.

FAN TWO:

"Hello Gemma! My name is Ashley and I would like to know how it feels to have the distinction of having the most viewed video on the CW website for the last show? With it being your debut, how much did that mean?"

GEMMA WOODS:

"I actually didn't know that my video was the most viewed, so thank you for the info! How does it feel? Wow...it feels incredible to have so many people, just like you, that believe in me enough to care what I have to say about a match. Compared to so many others in CW, I've accomplished next to nothing, but for you guys to latch on to me means I'm doing something right, and I'm more pleased with the outpouring of support than I am for having the most viewed video."

The third chamber opens up and this fan oozes of confidence. He's an older gentleman with a bushy, gray afro and he's dressed in a white suit. He stands out in a ring with otherwise casually dressed fans.

FAN THREE:

"Hey there lovely lady, I'm Cornelius and I wanna know if you're single?"

Gemma blushes as she smirks and looks down causing the fan to laugh with her.

FAN THREE:

"I'm just playin', but what I really wanna know is how do you plan for a match like an elimination chamber? This is a match that takes years off of careers babygirl, and for someone as cute as you, that would be ashame. Lemme know."

Gemma continues blushing and points at Cornelius, laughing.

GEMMA WOODS:

"Dude, how do you expect me to answer your question after the presentation?"

Cornelius laughs and gives her a thumbs up.

GEMMA WOODS:

"First, you're freakin awesome, man, thanks for making me laugh and for the compliments that I totally feel are inaccurate but hey? As far as preparing for the chamber, I know this match is designed to be brutal. It's designed to put each of us through literally a living hell in order to win, but when they dangle the vacant Heritage Championship above our heads, that's really all of the motivation I need, personally."

The fourth fan steps out of their chamber, an older woman, probably in her fifties.

FAN FOUR:

"My name is Lisa and I feel like I was placed in the perfect chamber for this one. You just mentioned the Heritage Championship. If you win, what would you bring to the lineage of that championship, and it's future?"

Gemma mouth's 'thank you' and waves at Lisa.

GEMMA WOODS:

"Well wrestling means the world to me, and my lineage, my heritage, that of the Woods Wrestling Dynasty means the world to me, so winning this championship would be special on so many levels. The former champions are extremely talented and they put that championship on the map, my plan would be to take it to the next level. How would I do so? Defending on as many shows as possible and grinding to make it mean as much as the Pride championship that Kendrick or Maki will walk away with at the end of the night."

The fifth and final fan steps out of their chamber. A fresh faced girl that is just under twenty years old. Her bright smile almost rivals that of Gemma's.

FAN FIVE:

"My name is Sabrina and I would love to know what number you hope to draw for order of entry in this match? Thanks!"

Gemma smiles and tells Sabrina that her question is awesome.

GEMMA WOODS:

"You know, I think the smart thing to say would be that I would love to come in last, right? I mean, entering last gives the best chance of victory. By then the other wrestlers are fatigued, some could even be eliminated, but kind of going off of what I said pertaining to the last question, I want to elevate the championship. I think entering FIRST and competing from the beginning to the end of the match would be my perfect scenario type of deal. So yeah, start to finish. I hope I enter first."

The fans all come up and hug Gemma one at a time before being helped out of the ring as all eyes return to Gemma in the middle of the ring.

GEMMA WOODS:

"I want to thank all five of those amazing wrestling fans for their time and questions, and I want to ask everyone watching this video to tune into Horror in the Hills on November 7th from the CW Warehouse. This is an event where anything could happen, and new champions are guaranteed, and I hope, I pray, and I will bust my butt to hopefully ensure that I'm the brand new CW Heritage Champion. I love you all and best of luck to each of my opponents."

Gemma poses in the middle of the ring with both hands on her hips as the cameras slowly fade out.
