It’s been a good time for Kendrick as of late. Winning matches, and taking the Pride Championship from Maki. Something that no one thought he’d do but low and behold he did. It was one of his more successful accomplishments in CW. He wasn’t about to let that go down the drain by letting Maki beat him in his first defense.
Los Angeles
Kendrick’s house.
Cameras fade in to a dark house except for one spot, a red light outlines Kendrick. A small, yet seemingly evil laugh is heard coming from the shadow. Kendricks face and neck are painted black with red contacts in his eyes, after all, it was near Halloween. He may have been a bit late, but the show was called Horror in the Hills. Halloween mixed with near where Kendrick lived? It made perfect sense. Kendrick let out a small grin followed by another seemingly sinister laugh.
“Are you ready, Maki? Ready to meet the one person who can make sure you don’t see the light of day? Ready for Kendrick Kross and Horror in the Hills?”
Kendrick wasn’t about to let Maki get into his head. He was going to make sure that when it came to him and Maki, he would definitely come out on top. Hell, Kendrick found it funny that she had to make her brother come in and try to threaten him. She wasn’t about to admit it though. Maki knew that she couldn’t handle Kendrick so she was required to bring someone in, he was going to make sure that anything that her brother tried to do would affect a damn thing, including this match. Kendrick was going to win this match himself so that Maki wouldn’t have any kind of bullshit excuse like she had before, saying that Britney forced his win. Even when Kendrick had no idea about her being there. He still won though, that’s all that mattered. Kendrick held the title and that title is all that mattered to this company. Who ever held it owned the company, Maki knew it, Kendrick knew it and Kendrick was going to stake claim to his title reign, keep the company and the locker room in his hands.
“I’ve fought for this title, I’ve fought for my place in this company and for what I have. After Horror in the Hills I am going to make sure that you understand who is the top person in this place. You may have held this title, you may think you are the best here. You though, Maki. You couldn’t be more wrong.”
Kendrick looks around and grabs the knob of the light. He turns the light up just a bit, revealing more of his features, including small red tears coming from the outside of both eyes. He laughs a bit before taking a breath. Kendrick knew what he had to do, knew what he was going to do. Maki wasn’t just going to hurt, she was going to suffer, to feel pain. Kendrick had to make sure she wasn’t going to walk out of that place, he may not be able to send her to hell like he wants, but he will make sure she leaves on a stretcher, it’s going to be his job. Not just for him, but for everyone that despised everything she was. The demoness wasn’t going to last for much longer.
“How do you like my look, Maki? Do I look frightening? You’re going to say no, I know you Maki. You aren’t afraid of anything, you have no fear, have nothing that can scare you, at least that’s what you tell yourself. What about Daniella though? Oh, Daniella scares you to death, it’s obvious. Why else would the scream of a banshee be heard throughout an arena? It’s the scream of you feeling her inside you, knowing that any moment she could take over. That can’t feel good, Maki. In fact I know it doesn’t, I have another version of myself inside me, it’s just not some sort of demoness as you call her. Maki, you’ll be afraid, not just of Daniella, but of me come Horror in the Hills. You’re going to realize that fear can reside in everyone, even the one who claims not to be scared of a damn thing.”
Kendrick let out a grin and looks around his place. He takes a deep breath and lets out another small sinister laugh followed by shaking his head. He wanted to let Maki know what he was capable of, not just that, but he wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t get a shot at this title as long as he had it. This was her rematch after all and she wasn’t going to take this title back. Not from him, not from the man who is the best in this company, the title, and the wins prove it. Maki wanted to be the best, wanted to have the full respect of the locker room but does anyone truly respect a person who loses title matches, especially for the top title twice in a row? That’s what was going to happen at Horror in the HIlls. A second loss, a loss of respect, even if people didn’t want to admit it. They’d realize that Kendrick Kross, he was the one that would always be on top of the mountain. He’d be the one that was the guy who needed to be respected, and he was going to make sure, whether the locker room, and Maki liked it, he’d be the one to be respected and he would be, he’d make sure of it.
Kendrick looked down at the title, which was resting on a pedestal and grabbed it, throwing it over his shoulder. He looked at it and smiled, he liked the way it looked at the current moment. The camera, focusing on it, revealed blood slowly down the face plate and the leather strap. He smiled and looked at the belt before looking back at the camera. The red in his eyes gleaming yet evil.
“I do hope you like my look, Maki. It’s what I’ll be looking like at Horror in the Hills. Black face paint, red eyes, red tears. It’s the last thing that you’ll see before you slowly blackout. Maki I do hope that you bring your best, so I can prove to you, and everyone else that I win every match by myself, instead of having the bullshit excuse of me beating you because the help of Britney. You were losing that match either way. I just was hoping I had a chance to bury your bitch ass alive, Maki. Make sure you didn’t come out from that coffin. I do love you saying I am of ‘mediocrity’ if I am mediocrity then what does it make you, Maki? What’s less than mediocrity? Loser. That’s what you have become if I am mediocre.”
“I find your mention of my so called failure in MMA hilarious and misinformed. I left MMA for one reason, I did all I needed to do. I won enough titles there to please my goals, went undefeated, so before you go on and saying I’m a failure at things that I do, make sure you know what you are talking about. Failure is the last thing I have become. Failure….failure is what you are. Proof is in the pudding. You failed at retaining your title against the top talent in CW. Sure, you are a former CW Champ, but how many times did you defend it, once? Against Samantha Hamilton? Where has she been since then, Maki? Nowhere. Why? Because she is a failure. She is the one that knew she couldn’t beat you. I knew I could and what did I do on my first chance at that title? I won it, from the so called face of CW. You’re wrong, Maki. The face of CW is the face you are looking at now, the face of red eyes, red tears, and black paint. The face of the demon that is going to show the world what a true champion is. Watch your back Maki, I may just come of from behind you right now.”
With that Kendrick seemingly just flashes out of the camera and we go black.
